Strong Growth For CEL Ningbo

Our CEL Ningbo facility has been adding new manufacturing capabilities every year since its set-up in 2006. Its successful growth shows how effective our ‘two continents, one team’ approach is at delivering cost-efficient and reliable offshore manufacturing.

“To make it easier to sub-contract manufacture in China than with any other supply chain partner, we are committed to communicating really well – at all levels!” explains Peter Humphries, Managing Director at CEL Group. “We’re stronger as one team, wherever we are in the world. There is daily contact between our staff in our UK and our CEL Ningbo offices. Whether we are working on new sales enquiries, or managing existing contract fulfilment, open and regular communication means our customers get better results.

Continuous improvement

“We continuously improve operational efficiency through regular site visits,” Peter continues. “I visit our facilities and partners in China every six weeks or so. This is in addition to other members of the team, who work directly with our people in China. The approach has helped us build effective supply chain partnerships. And it is why our customers trust us to deliver more than just low cost manufacturing. Our proven supply chain process boosts supply assurance and confidence – with no hidden costs and unpleasant surprises.”

CEL Ningbo’s Managing Director, Bishu Wang agrees, “We encourage CEL Group’s vision and values amongst the workers. We have a strong partnership with our UK team. Developing together, using experience and teamwork, to deliver solutions which help our UK customers compete. Spending time with our UK colleagues, here at CEL Ningbo, or through regular conference calls, removes any confusion over requirements. Talking and combining our expertise makes it quicker to find good solutions. In fact, I tell my workers at CEL Ningbo that we are stronger as a pack – like wolves. In the UK, many of our team support Wolves FC, so you see even in our spare time we share the same vision!”
