Claudia Campbell runs the Chester Metric Marathon to raise money for charity

Claudia’s Moves Help Movement

On Sunday 6th October, Claudia Campbell, CEL Group’s General Manager, ran the Chester Metric Marathon in a bid to raise money for a charity close to her heart. The Movement Centre in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, helps children with movement disabilities live a more fulfilling life.

The Movement Centre is funded through charitable donations to maximise the potential of children’s movement through specialised training. It can completely change the lives of many children with movement disabilities. Targeted training helps them move more naturally, so that they can gain essential functional skills. It gives children and their families a chance at greater independence and a new lease of life.

Continuous improvement gets personal

Claudia has dabbled in a bit of running in the past, having run the Shrewsbury 10K twice, as well as also taking part in the Red Bull ‘Wings For Life Run’. She is probably one of the fittest members of our team at CEL Group HQ. This is partly because she drives to set herself new and ambitious goals every year – a bit like a personal continuous improvement programme. Although, like all good intentions, making them happen isn’t as easy with everyday work pressures getting in the way.

Claudia admits, “I am always filled with enthusiasm when I start to train but, until now, I haven’t made the half marathon happen. I have left the training for this one a little late, but I am determined to put my best foot forward.”
